Updated: December 3, 2024
We have created a list of possible issues some players may experience with theHunter after the release of Salzwiesen Park, German Shorthaired Pointer, and free Winter Update. If you are having a problem that you would like to report, please refer to the list below first — we may already be aware of the issue and working to resolve it!
GAMEPLAY
- If the Zeroing Perk is active, and the player presses the “Use Skill” button while a non-weapon item is currently their active item, when they next switch to a Weapon, Zeroing will have reset to default (mid-range) and will not show the current setting in the UI until the “Use Skill” button is pressed again.
- Saltwater Crocodiles may be difficult to “Spot” from certain angles.
- Feral Goats can run in circles while trying to flee in some places in Emerald Coast Australia.
EQUIPMENT
- Players must load their weapons before entering the shooting range, even though they have unlimited ammo once in the range.
- All backpacks, regardless of size or color, have the same in-game model when seen on the player.
- The Odin scope is placed a bit too far away from the player’s viewpoint on the Fors Elite .300
ANIMALS
- Pheasants tend to bounce back up while shot during the landing phase. This is just a visual issue.
- Waterfowl will stop responding to decoys for a while after several groups of them have been scared away.
- Developer’s Note: Travelling to another decoy setup further away on the map can help mitigate this issue.
- High-flying Waterfowl may sometimes be observed to move weirdly.
- Upland birds such as Ring-necked Pheasant and Black Grouse may sometimes take longer than intended to flee, depending on the terrain.
DOG
- The “Flush” command may occasionally fail to appear on the dog wheel when intended.
- Players might encounter an issue where they see dog’s mouth sticking out the body of the harvest it is carrying.
- The Dog may try to climb over large bird corpses (like Turkeys).
- The dog’s eyes may look odd under certain lighting conditions.
- In Multiplayer, there’s a minor chance that a player might not be able to see the retrieved harvest in another player’s dog’s mouth.
TROPHIES
- If you replace an existing trophy on a stand, the new one won’t show up until you restart the game. However, if you swap the invisible trophy with a different one, the freshly replaced trophy will be visible.
MISSIONS
- Light Brown pumas shot prior to the Outback Update are invisible when placed in the trophy room on Parque Fernando.
- Developer’s note: This has been a very challenging bug to fix. As of the Outback Update, anyone progressing this mission for the first time should see their trophies without issue. Unfortunately, players who have already placed a Light Brown Puma on the stand will still be stuck with an invisible trophy for now
SYSTEM
- Firing a shotgun loaded with birdshot at a Shooting Range target nearby will result in a noticeable drop in framerate.
MULTIPLAYER
- Waterfowl may occasionally fail to spawn during Multiplayer games.
- There are several issues with the Clay Shooting Range which can occur when playing with multiple players, including:
- VFX not appearing for all players when a disc is destroyed,
- Disks not appearing for all players,
- Disks not being destroyed for all players consistently,
- Extra disks being fired,
- Disks no longer appearing at all.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- Players who have already fulfilled the requirements for the “Cuatro Colinas Arc” achievement are not appropriately awarded the achievement.
WORLD
- Players may fall out of the world in a certain spot on the ice south of Zverolova Hill on Medved.
UI
- The placement of the new Hunting Pressure Tooltip may clip over other messages shown in the sidebar.
- PlayStation and Xbox users may notice that the description for the new German Shorthaired Pointer is not shown properly in the UI.
GRAPHICS
- Players may notice a transparent, repeating ascending column while placing Ground Blinds.
- Weird textures occasionally get rendered on static objects, particularly on Xbox.
AUDIO
- Hog Deer sounds like Roe Deer.
- Tripods do not make any noise when rotating.
